Therefore, after gaining considerable acclaim for his photography of \u2018Kes\u2019 he returned to working in television, spending nearly ten years on documentaries, filmed drama and TV specials. During that time he made brief sorties into feature films with \u2018Gumshoe\u2019 directed by Stephen Frears, starring Albert Finney, \u2018Bloody Kids\u2019 also directed by Frears, and more recently \u2018Black Jack\u2019 for Ken Loach. He also photographed Tony (brother of Ridley) Scott\u2019s first film \u2018Loving Memory\u2019, which was produced with funds from the British Film Institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As Director of Photography for the second unit he was responsible for the battle scenes in \u2018Zulu Dawn\u2019; last year he spent five months on \u2018The Empire Strikes Back\u2019, produced by the Star Wars\u2019 team, as second unit Director of Photography.
