The man Greg Whitfield has been seriously busy! His latest is an interview with Steve Mosco – Jah Warrior, Urban One Drops Outta London

Paul Meme is now doing a blog, because he worships me. (Actually it’s because I steal all his ideas and then do them first…) shards, fragments and totems
The London Riot Re-enactment Society
“The London Riot Re-enactment Society will stage re-enactments of noted riots from London’s history, with some attempt at historical accuracy.
The possibilities are endless. For example, if we staged a re-enactment of May Day 2000 on May Day 2003, would people notice it was a re-enactment or would they think it was that year’s May Day riot? And if we told them, and if the next year we re-enacted June 18 1999 on May Day 2004 would people notice the discrepancy?”
Aba-shanti and Small Space Dynamics

So it’s update time! I can hardly believe it. Lots of general formatting business which hopefully isn’t a big deal, but I am also very proud to present an interview with ABA-SHANTI by Greg Whitfield. Legendary dub soundsystem talks about their history and views.
Also Small Space Dynamics, a text which originally appeared in Autotoxicity zine, and which covers ideas around alienation through immersing yourself in subculture ghettos, limits, personal obsessions and so on.

datacide
The obligatory plug for the new issue of datacide. Definitely the best of the few surviving zines. Great coverage of breakcore (Ambush, Praxis, etc) and other musics and some excellent cultural and political articles as well. Deserves your support.
Bass Cultural Vibrations
Bass Cultural Vibrations: Visionaries, Outlaws, Mystics and Chanters, by Greg Whitfield
Is an excellent look at dub, punk and the avant garde by a soon-to-be-contributor to uncarved. Check it!
